Having completed studies in art therapy, I lead art clubs in schools where children can “play around” with some of the fundamental questions of contemporary art.
I lead these groups in a spirit where tolerance, self-knowledge and first-hand experience are important. As Picasso said “Every child is an artist”. Fundamental artistic attitudes such as a playful disposition and the willingness to experiment are still intensely felt in childhood. Rather than talent-scouting, the aim of these classes is the discovery interest. Along with existing interests, a multitude of art forms and products can be presented to children, helping to channel their creativity and world views into an artistic format.
